AMS Managers and Team Leaders

 

 

 

Virginia Long, RN, CPC

 

She has been in the healthcare field since 1973. She is the co-owner of  AMS and serves as CEO of  the company. She is the past President of Superior Renal Care. Prior to that she was the Vice President of Renal Care Group, a fortune 500 company where she was responsible for the development and operations of the University Division.


 

 

Kathy Zeppenfeld, CPC

 

Kathy is a Certified Professional Coder and the Team Leader of billing for hospitalists and nursing homes. She attends workshops and monthly chapter meetings staying current with AAPC. She manages accounts from charge entry to collections. She has had extensive experience billing for family practices and vascular access centers.


 

 

Edna Sumner

 

Edna is our team leader in the collection area. She previously worked in the medical field for 30 years. Her career spans from Nurse Aide, EMT, Emergency Dispatcher, Accounts Payables, and Medical Billing to Collections.


 

 

Michele Mills

 

Michele is the team leader for nephrology billing. She is knowledgeable in the special rules for billing for nephrology services including normal office and hospital codes, as well as dialysis during hospitalization and observation, ESRD, capitated services, billing for dialysis training and other dialysis billing. Michelle also works in the credentialing department.

 

 

 

Lena Skakavac

 

Lena is a registered nurse in Germany.  While awaiting the transfer of her license to the United States she recently graduated from Everest University where she studied Medical Insurance Billing and Coding.   She currently assists Kathy with our hospitalists accounts. As communication today is so important, we wanted to mention that Lena not only speaks english, but German, Serbo-Croation, Macedonian, and some Russian.

 

 

 

 

Stephanie Wayne

 

Stephanie is a Certified Professional Coder and attends monthly meetings of the local chapter of the American Academy of Certified Coders. In 2007, she graduated from Florida Metropolitan University with an associate in science degree in medical billing and coding. She is currently specializing in medical laboratory billing.

 

 


 

 

Julie Bouckenooghe, B.S., CPC

 

Julie has attended multiple workshops and lectures for the local chapter of the American Academy of Certified Coders. Julie has expertise in all areas of billing, collections, and credentialing. She has done extensive billing for dialysis, nephrology, internal medicine, family practice, chiropractors, physical therapy, and hospitalists. Julie also has experience in billing for physician owned vascular access centers. Currently she has been asked to be the client liaison for new accounts and to facilitate the seamless transition of  these  accounts to AMS. She oversees all credentialing and practice set-up.


Systems Engineer

 

 

Tony Kujawski

 

Tony is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He is responsible for ensuring that the practices  have, secure, reliable, constant access to their account information. He ensures that all information exchanges are HIPAA compliant. Tony also will provide computer and network administration for practices who desire this additional service.


 

Human Resources

 

 

Keith Anderson

 

Keith is the co-owner of AMS. He is responsible for personnel management. He has extensive experience in the area of Human Resources. He also provides day to day supervision of the company operations.
